The report from the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health revealed that in Panama there have been reports to date 887,637 accumulated cases of Covid-19, of which 2,591 are new positive cases today.
In the last 24 hours, five (5) deaths were reported and two (2) from previous dates were updated for a total of 8,295 deaths and a lethality of 0.9%.
Those recovered from the disease amount to 852,523 of which 3,811 are newly recovered. 13,283 new tests were applied for a positivity of 19.5%.
The total number of active cases in the country is 26,819. Of them, 26,481 are in home isolation and 338 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 26,444 at home and 37 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 309 in the Ward and 29 in the ICU.
The districts with the highest number of cases reported today are: Juan Díaz with 103, Rufina Alfaro with 90, San Francisco (Panama) 81, Bella Vista (Panama) 62 and Don Bosco 62 cases.
