Among the main incidents of this Sunday there are breakdowns in Felton, Nuevitas and Renté thermoelectric plants.
Lima, Peru – Electric Union (UNE) He reported this Sunday That the national electrical system will maintain a serious situation, with blackouts in about 49% of the territory due to the strong generation deficit.
The panorama of blackouts contrasts with the alleged celebrations that the regime attempts to stage in its official propaganda as part of the anniversary of the Defense Committees of the Revolution (CDR), one of the longest organizations devised by the dictatorship for the surveillance and control of mass.
In its daily note, the UNE recognized that the service was interrupted during the 24 hours on Saturday, September 27 and that the effects extended throughout the morning of this Sunday. The maximum disconnection of the previous day occurred at 8:00 p.m., with a deficit of 1,737 megawatts (MW).
Among the main current incidents are breakdowns in Unit 2 of the Thermoelectric Central (CTE) Felton, Unit 5 of CTE Nuevitas and Unit 6 of the CTE Renté.
In addition, Unit 1 and 2 maintenance of the Santa Cruz CTE and Unit 4 of the CTE Carlos Manuel de Céspedes in Cienfuegos.
The situation will be aggravated during the highest consumption schedule. These last week they have been especially critical on the island due to a new collapse of the national electrical system that left almost the entire island off at the beginning of this month, the fifth in less than a year, as well as the meteorological incidence (rains and floods) that have left serious breakdowns in the depauperate electrical infrastructure.
Electricity cuts exceed 20 hours a day in the provinces of the East, while in Havana the blackouts reach up to 10 hours a day.
The Energy crisiswhich crawls since mid -2024, obeys breakdowns in obsolete thermal plants, programmed maintenance, lack of fuel and lubricants, in addition to the stoppage of tens of distributed generation engines and bad government management.
