President Jair Bolsonaro is back today (16) to criticize Petrobras for the successive rises in fuel prices and said that he regrets the current price of diesel.
The representative complained that Petrobras seeks maximum profit, “instead of doing as the oil companies around the world had, they reduced their profit margins”, he said.
“Nothing against the company to have profit, have to to have profit. On the other hand, we know that it doesn’t work, and we are forced to move the pieces on the board”, added the president. “We regret the very high price of diesel,” he said.
The statements were made during the opening of a business fair organized by the Associação Paulista de Supermercados, which takes place in the north of the city of São Paulo.
Ministers Paulo Guedes (Economy) and Marcos Pontes (Science and Technology) were also present, as well as the mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes. The former Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes, also spoke at the opening of the event. He is a pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo.
