Alejandro Hurtado, vice president of Fedeple, warned the national government to take immediate action against the actions carried out by these groups of people, since in addition to the economic losses they are generating due to the difficulties of delivering the milk, they also they are attempting against life by not leaving ambulances and not allow food to reach homes.

“We are fighting for life, against this criminal fence around industries and highways where they are not allowing even ambulances to pass. We denounce the national government because they are committing crimes by omission, because they should do everything necessary so that the necessary food passes through families,” Hurtado said at a press conference.

The nine associations that belong to Fedeple met this Saturday at the headquarters of the Association of Livestock Farmers of the North (Aganorte), in Montero, where they evaluated the situation and ratified their state of emergency.

Hurtado exhorted the population to take to the streets and claim for the lack of basic food that does not reach homes due to the fence against indefinite unemployment in demand by the census.

“We are seeing the capacity that these people have to harm society. It is an attempt against life, against freedom. I ask the homes of Santa Cruz to go out and claim, since it is an affront against the people of Santa Cruz, “she asserted.

Fedeple’s representative mentioned that the day before there was a loss of 500,000 liters of milk and that in these days, when trucks cannot enter and leave the industries, 80% of losses in dairy production have been accounted for.

“We are resigned to the losses, now we have to fight for life and against people who are for death. The culprit is the Government because it does nothing against people who are paid, “he insisted.

Finally, he noted that due to the extreme extent school breakfast has not been deliveredand that the action is not only harming dairy farmers but also the poultry, meat and vegetable sectors that arrive from the Santa Cruz valleys.
