On the banks of the Guache River in Portuguesa, a human skeleton was located, specifically at the height of the Guache Viejo hamlet, Araure municipality.
A resident of the area found the skeletal remains on the afternoon of this Monday, February 23, and reported the fact to the police authorities, so officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) went to the site to carry out technical-scientific expertise and begin the investigations.
Specialists from the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Senamecf) also attended the scene, confirming that it was a skull, both femurs and the left tibia and took samples to carry out anthropological and forensic studies that would allow the victim to be identified and determine the cause of death.
The case was brought to the attention of the Eleventh Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
