The Plaza El Cristo, located in the Petare flask, Sucre municipality, was the setting for a new public consultation on the reform of the National Holidays Law, an event that was headed by the deputy Gabriela Chacón, and in which historians, chroniclers, spokespersons for communal councils, communes, teachers, among others.
The deputies Gisela Tovar and Vianelbi Sojo were also present at the meeting, as well as the president of the municipal council of Sucre, Gladys Arboleda and the deputy to the Legislative Council of the state of Miranda, Gustavo Prieto, among other authorities.
Appreciating the massive participation of popular power in this meeting, Chacón pointed out that from the National Assembly, they continue to develop the consultation of the Law of National Holidays, throughout the country, in all states, municipalities and that, in addition, those interested can also give your opinion via online.
“We continue in the streets consulting the people about the reform of this Law of National Holidays, Venezuelans are nationalists and we defend our traditions, our history, in the National Assembly, we are pleased with the massive response we have obtained, especially by the participation of historians, chroniclers, who have not only made their proposals, but also offer us talks, provide us with data on our past and contemporary history, which have helped us guide the work we do”, said Gabriela Chacón.
He pointed out that there are several proposals for national dates, which have already been received, including commemorating Flag Day on August 3, enforcing a decree signed by Commander Hugo Chávez, as well as commemorating the National Anthem Day on May 25. .
“In the consultations we have received interesting proposals, such as those delivered by the chronicler of Baruta, Mr. Tulio Marín, who has indicated that they should be incorporated into the national dates on February 27, 1989, in commemoration of Caracazo, on February 4, 1992 when a group of patriots, led by Commander Hugo Chávez, rose up against the government in power and on April 13, 2002, when the people rescued President Chávez, who had been kidnapped, and defeated a coup d’état,” he said. Deputy Chacon.
He also pointed out that from the Sucre municipality, the chronicler Víctor Méndez, asked that dates be incorporated to commemorate the life and work of Francisco de Miranda, Antonio José de Sucre and Lino Clemente.
“They have also proposed incorporating the Day of the Venezuelan Heroines, in honor of the brave women of the country, who throughout history have fought for the freedom of our country, likewise they asked us to reinforce the national dates and regional holidays, in each state and municipality, an initiative that must be accompanied by an educational process from the first years of initial education so that from an early age our children feel that love for the country,” said Gabriela Chacón.
He assured that the consultation will remain in the street and all the proposals that are received will be delivered to the authorities of the National Assembly.
