A day of intense protests has broken out in Peru, where demonstrators are demanding the resignation of President Dina Boluarte and that the general elections be brought forward.
There were thousands of people who came out to protest in the streets of Lima who broke the police fence located in one of the points of the historic center, managing to reach the exterior of the Congress of Peru.
Among the demonstrators were social, political, union and student organizations who were between the Dos de Mayo and San Martín squares. Following these displacements, the government mobilized more than 24,000 police officers with a view to stopping the protests; however, these lasted until night as there were clashes with the police.
