One of the most sought after destinations by Brazilians in South America, the city of Cusco, in Peru, will have a vice consulate of Brazil to meet the demands of tourists visiting the region.
According to the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, President Jair Bolsonaro edited this Wednesday (2) a decree that creates the body in Cusco and converts the Consulate of Brazil in Iquitos, also in Peru, into a vice consulate.
This last measure makes it possible to maintain consular service in the Amazon border region and support cooperation actions, with cost reductions, without prejudice to the quality of services.
Both vice consulates will report to the Brazilian Embassy in Lima. The installation of the new consular offices will take place after the approval of the Peruvian government.
