In Pantoja, people cross over the garbage in a ravine for lack of a bridge

Residents of Pantoja are forced to expose themselves to danger when crossing a Canada by a ladder, because since last year they have been waiting for the construction of a small bridge that collapsed on Isabela Monumental street, near the north entrance of the Cristo Redentor cemetery.

The street is the only access they have to the southern part of the sector, but due to the lack of a bridge they walk through rubble and contaminated water to be able to move.

Isidro Travieso Núñez, president of the Nuevo Amanecer Neighborhood Council of Villa María, La Palma in Pantoja, said that what they have in that place is a mess due to the slow pace of work.

In September of last year the little bridge collapsed and since then there has been no traffic through the place. After much insistence, it was agreed to rebuild it in three months and it’s been four months and the intention is not even visible.

“What they have done is nonsense,” said Travieso Núñez while demanding that the work be built as soon as possible so that the neighborhood is connected. He explained that the works are in charge of a private company that he did not identify.
