The crisis that the country has been facing for two weeks due to road closures, protests and demonstrations, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported this Tuesday, that in one week, some 134,000 Panamanians have lost their appointments.

This figure not only covers the Minsa but also the Social Security Fund (CSS).

The entity specified that this is due to the lack of fuel mobilization, affecting the transfer of patients, boilers, food preparation, laundry and others.

Regarding access to medicines, the Minsa added that it coordinated with the Joint Task Force, to implement a contingency plan, and thus guarantee the supply of medicines in different regions.
