recently the president of the Republic, Luis Abinaderrendered accounts to the nation in front of the National Assembly with a speech in which he revealed the socioeconomic statistics of his third year in government, emphasizing comparisons with electoral periods.

The President dedicated a large part of these comparisons to his immediate predecessor, the former president, Danilo Medinabut he also dedicated space in his address to the former representative of the Executive Power, Leonel Fernandez in an intervention that was cataloged by various sectors as a message with re-election overtones.

Taking into account the data presented by President Abinader, it is prudent to review these indicators during the last third years of the mandates of these three political leaders with the official data published by government institutions in the years 2019 (Danilo Medina government), 2022 ( government of Luis Abinader) and 2011 (government of Leonel Fernández).

In this sense, the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was 4.9% in 2019 according to the Presidency of the Republic, and 5.0% in 2019, according to the General Directorate of Budget (DIGEPRES), while for 2011 it was 4.5% according to the Central Bank.

In the case of international reserves, by 2022 these amounted to US$14,436 million; in tanto, for the years 2019 and 2011 the amount was US$7,627 million and US$4,098 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, inflation according to reports from the Central Bank for these dates corresponded to 7.8% in 2022, 3.6% in 2019 and 7.7% in 2011.

Exports from the Free Zones were US$7,768 million in 2022, US$6,263 million in 2019 and US$4,884 million in 2011 according to reports from the National Council of Free Zones. Likewise, the jobs generated in this sector amounted to more than 192 thousand in 2022; more than 176 thousand in 2019 and more than 125 in 2011.

In the Free Zones sector for this 2022 there were 784 working companies, as well as 695 in 2019 and 578 in 2011.

In the tourism field, the Dominican Republic received 8 million tourists in 2022 (according to official figures), generating more than 8.4 million dollars for the country; likewise in 2019 it received more than 6.4 million generating more than 7.4 million dollars to the nation and in 2011 the country received more than 3.8 million generating more than 4.6 million dollars.

Monetary poverty stood at 21.8% in 2022 and 21% in 2019, which represents a reduction compared to 39.3% in 2011.

In the field, chicken production stood at 223.8 million units in 2022, while in 2019 192 million units were produced and in 2011 7.1 million quintals. In the case of rice, in 2022 14.7 million quintals were produced, compared to 13.1 million and 12.5 million quintals produced in 2019 and 2011 respectively. Of eggs, 3.3 million units were produced in 2022 and 2.5 and 1.7 million units in 2019 and 2011 respectively.

Bananas in the country produced 2.8 million thousands in 2022, 2.5 million thousands in 2019 and 1.7 million units in 2011.
