From the administrative facilities of the PDVSA headquarters building, in Maturín, the working class belonging to the Production Directorate of the Eastern Division of Venezuelan Petroleum (PDVSA), demanded this Monday, January 12, the release of the constitutional president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and the first combatant Cilia Flores, after the attack carried out on January 3.
The workers of the country’s main industry declared permanent mobilization after denouncing the illegal kidnapping and demanded the immediate freedom and safe return of the national leader and his wife.

Maritza Díaz, a worker assigned to the Production Management of El Furrial, the working class will be in permanent assembly and active surveillance in strategic facilities (plants, drills and flow stations), with the purpose of creating safe mechanisms to defend the national heritage against any attempt to confiscate national assets by the Government of the United States.
“We reaffirm our unwavering will to maintain operational continuity. Our goal of continuing to generate sovereign barrels remains firm, as a fundamental pillar for economic recovery and that the industry continues to serve peace and social development and not imperial ambitions,” Díaz emphasized.
Likewise, the workforce of the Venezuelan hydrocarbon company urged the United Nations (UN) and the people of the world to categorically reject these actions that they consider a flagrant violation of international law.
