In less than three months, more than 900,000 people have been vaccinated against influenza

More than 920 thousand people have received the influenza vaccine, from April 25 to July 19, reported the Ministry of Health (Minsa) through the Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI).

The Minsa revealed that 928 thousand 658 doses have been applied against the influenza at the national level, in vaccination days carried out by teams from the Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the Social Security Fund (CSS).

The report details that the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has applied 695,004 dose against the virus influenza, while the Social Security Fund has applied 233,654 doses against this disease.

It should be noted that the three (3) Health regions with the most people vaccinated against influenza are: Metropolitan Region with 226, 203 applied dose, of which 175,366 doses correspond to the Minsa and the Social Security Fund with 50,837 dose.

It is followed by the Chiriquí region with 107,968 applied dose corresponding 82,961 applied dose of the Minsa and the Social Security Fund with 25,007 dose; and the West Panama region with 77,954 immunized people, of whom 45,122 doses were placed by personnel from the Minsa and the Social Security Fund with 32,832 applied dose.

The influenza vaccine is applied free of charge, in health centers and all polyclinics of the Social Security Fund, nationwide.
