“As we projected from day one as an independent brand, this second year everything is going in perfect harmony, since in Panama we expanded our product portfolio to create a more nourished intelligent ecosystem for all users in the country,” said Ana Grimaldo. , Manager of Public Relations and Communications of HONOR Central America.

For his part, David Moheno, director of Public Relations and Communication at HONOR LATAM commented that “HONOR’s growth has not only occurred at the product level, because while in its first year it opened eight markets in Latin America (Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Panama, Chile, Bolivia, Guatemala and Ecuador), for its second year three countries were added: Costa Rica, Honduras and El Salvador”.

Similarly, globally, HONOR increased its workforce by more than 50%, from 8,000 in 2020 to 13,000 in 2022, of which 60% are from the Research and Development (R&D) area.

In addition, it already has seven R&D centers, more than 100 innovation laboratories and more than 300 of its own patents. All this distributed in different regions worldwide.

A path that is paying off

Before becoming independent, HONOR was born as a brand for the younger generation. However, two years ago it took a turn, thus taking a step towards the premium market to offer state-of-the-art technology and elegant designs in products for everyone.

In this way, during the first year, HONOR announced its first smartphones in Panama, the HONOR 50. The arrival of these smartphones surprised more than one, since they not only integrated a premium design and an incredible camera system to capture every moment , but they would have Google Mobile Services (GMS) and along with them the Google Play Store in order to download the most popular applications and games of the moment.

At that time, it was announced that HONOR would launch the latest technology to meet the daily digital needs of all people and thus facilitate their activities. Until now, the brand has complied with it and every day is positioned in the taste of consumers.
