In January oil production increased 4.4% and gas production fell 8%

Conflict grows in oil and mining areas of the country

According to data from the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH), oil production It increased 4.41% in January compared to the production seen in the same period of 2022.

For the first month of the year, an average production of 773,857 barrels of oil per day was recorded, compared to 741,132 views the previous year. However, when comparing against December there is a contraction of 1.37%.

In the case of gasproduction was 1,643 million cubic feet per day.

This is a contraction of 8.2% compared to January 2022, although it does mean 1.29% more than in December, when it was 1,622 million cubic feet per day.
