In the last few hours, a tragic event was recorded in the municipality of Suaza, in the department of Huila.
From that region, the death of a one-year-old baby after ingesting a grain of corn, they specify, “accidentally” has been known.
The minor was identified as Jhoan C.
According to the reports that the authorities have been able to establish in the face of this unfortunate event, the baby was transferred to a care center with the intention of receiving immediate and urgent medical care.
But unfortunately his life could not be saved.

His relatives indicated that when the situation arose they requested help from both their neighbors and members of the Civil Defense, however they assure that the attention was not what they expected and denounce some type of “medical negligence”.

One of the reports that the authorities are investigating is the care that the minor received from health professionals.
They also try to find out what happened in the midst of the anguish that was experienced when the baby was transferred from the municipality of Suaza to Garzón, where he arrived without vital signs.
Relatives and close friends of the victim made a sit-in at the local hospital demanding the resignation of the administration.
