Huauchinango, Puebla.- In the municipality of Huauchinango, Puebla, the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, led the delivery of 556 new cards from the Banco del Bienestar of the Pensión Mujeres Bienestar, which will benefit 46 thousand Puebla women aged 64 and 63 years, in recognition of his work in favor of the country.
“We have to recognize Mexican women. Therefore, since there is a female President, for the first time we are going to recognize Mexican women and when they reach 60 years of age, their universal support for all Mexican women, not just some,” she stated.
He highlighted that 2025 is the year of “The indigenous woman”, as a recognition of those who forge the homeland from their communities.
“This year is dedicated to women who have been forgotten for many years, to what is our history, our base, to the deep Mexico, to the indigenous women of our homeland, to the women of the native peoples to whom we owe everything. ”, he highlighted during his speech.
Likewise, he recognized the people from Puebla who migrate to the United States and recalled that Mexicans are the best workers in the world, being fundamental to the operation of the countryside, construction, among other services.
“Puebla has many brothers and sisters who are on the other side, who are there in the United States (…) And so that no one makes fun of the Mexicans, because the Mexicans are the hardest workers in the entire world. There they make everything work: the countryside, the construction, the services and if they migrated it was because they are brave people who decided to go find a better destination for their families,” he stated.
He reiterated that one of the objectives of the Government of Mexico is to continue the Wellbeing Programs, which are now constitutional rights, and in addition, as part of the Second Floor of the Transformation, there are three new supports: the Women’s Wellbeing Pension, which In its first stage it benefits women aged 63 and 64 and universally indigenous women aged 60 to 64; the “Rita Cetina” scholarship for public school students from preschool to high school, which in 2025 supports high school students; the “House-to-House Health” program for older adults and people with disabilities, which will be complemented with the construction of Well-being Pharmacies, together with Well-being Banks for the free supply of medicines.
The Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, highlighted that the Women’s Wellbeing Pension is a fulfilled commitment of the President of Mexico that recognizes women who were forgotten for a long time. In addition, he highlighted that the Government of Mexico has promoted constitutional reforms to guarantee equality and the rights of women.
“It is time that in this Time of Women, – which our President has mentioned -, we begin to build a new coexistence between men and women, where we can respect each other as equals and that this emotion that is seen on the faces of many women, when We see our first woman President, be it the pride of having a woman President, but also the ratification that we can do what we want, that we deserve and have rights,” he pointed out.
For her part, the Secretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, reported that in Puebla there are 46 thousand women who will receive the Women’s Welfare Pension and that they join the 2 million people of Puebla who are already beneficiaries of one of the Programs for the Welfare.
The Secretary of Women, Citlalli Hernández Mora, reported that she will soon tour the states to deliver the Women’s Rights Booklet, so that men and women contribute to the construction of a more equal and fair society.
“Soon we will be visiting their homes to give all women and also all men a Booklet of rights that allows them to be known, demanded and guaranteed; and build a much more egalitarian and much fairer society, where the work of women in our history, in our present and in our society is recognized, as is being done today with this pension,” she announced.
Finally, the governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier, thanked the President for the support of Puebla women and promised to follow the same route in all areas of the state government.
“We follow the route outlined in all areas of our President’s administration. In terms of security, in terms of education, in terms of health, we accompany our President and in all the Wellbeing Programs we will be supporting our President, because she thinks about those who have the least and need it the most,” he said. .
The President was accompanied by the technical secretary of the Presidential Cabinet and general coordinator of Wellbeing Programs, Carlos Torres Rosas; the general coordinator of Intergovernmental Affairs and Social Participation of the Presidency of the Republic, Leticia Ramírez Amaya; the municipal president of Huauchinango, Rogelio López Angulo; as well as the beneficiaries of the Pensión Mujeres Bienestar program, Teodora Francisca Macín Guerrero, Esther Velázquez Tianguistengo, María de los Ángeles Otero Cuicoyatl and Viviana Nepomuceno Santiago.
