A total of 22 boxes of stationery and materials for the enumerators who will participate in the 2023 census, were delivered by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) to areas of difficult access, in the Guna Yala region.
According to Yanina Alfaro, assistant inspector of Guna Yala, in addition to stationery, they were given water, cleaning supplies and office supplies. The areas visited were census regions 10-01, which includes Narganá, 10-02: Ustupu and Ailigandí, and 10-03: Puerto Obaldía and Tuabalá.
He stressed that the delivery of these materials was given as a prelude to the training that began on Monday, December 12 and will end on Thursday, December 22.
The transfer of these materials was carried out by water with the support of the National Aeronaval Service and the Senafront for about 4 days, touring the San Blas Archipelago and thus achieving the objective so that the census areas have the necessary material and comply with this important work.

Guna Yala is among the 10% that will use the printed questionnaire and directed specifically at rural sectors, concentrated in the Guna Yala, Emberá-Wounaan, Kuna de Madugandí, Kuna de Wargandí and Ngäbe-Buglé comarcal areas.
From January 3 of next year, details will be refined to deliver the census questionnaires in these areas and start the 2020 decade census on January 8, 2023.
