In Don Bosco they pay more than 5 thousand balboas in vouchers in exchange for weapons, ammunition and explosives

A total of B/. 5,264.85 in vouchers redeemable in shops, supermarkets and pharmacies paid by the Pacifying My Neighborhood Program to people who delivered 6 firearms, 1,029 ammunition, 27 explosives, 5 suppliers and 4 accessories, at the Roberto Kelly Sports Complex in the township of Don Bosco.

The program will continue tomorrow from 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon; while on Thursday, February 16 and Friday, February 17, it will move to the Eugenio “Yuyín” Luzcando Gymnasium in Betania. The delivery of weapons and ammunition is completely confidential.

The Government of the Province of Panama, worked closely with the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Government, National Police, Municipalities and Community Boards in order to reduce the crime rate in the neighborhoods.

Faced with this need, the Inter-Institutional Cooperation and Technical Assistance Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Government and the Ministry of Public Security, having among its objectives the creation of the Program for the Exchange of Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives and Related Items, for vouchers and exchangeable bonds in local shops.
