On Sunday afternoon (22), five children, aged between 5 and 10, were run over while walking on a sidewalk in the city of Ceilândia, 30 kilometers (km) from the central region of Brasília.
According to information from the Fire Department, they were attended by teams from Samu and sent to the Regional Hospital of Ceilândia (HRC), three of them in serious condition and two others with only abrasions.
According to witnesses, the driver responsible for causing the accident was driving a white fox and fled the scene without providing assistance to the victims.
The man was arrested by the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) and forwarded to the 15th Police Station in Ceilândia. At the time of writing this report, there was still no information on whether the driver was driving while intoxicated.
