Since the reactivation of the service at the border, there have been several inconveniences for travel, such as the case of routes that do not give the option of reaching the center of Cúcuta

On December 30, the permits that allow Venezuelan binational transport to enter Colombia expired. However, the Cúcuta Metropolitan Area (AMC) issued an extension until January 8 that guarantees the entry of the unitsuntil the indicated date, while they renew the required documents.
Although a circular was recently released in which the Colombian Ministry of Transportation would once again take the reins of international transportation, confusion persists about which entity will regulate them in 2025, since, for the moment, the AMC continues to direct Venezuelan companies circulating in Colombia.
“The ministry has not issued instructions to Norte de Santander,” said a source consulted by Diario La Nación, indicating that the AMC called company by company in the month of December, to submit new folders.

«As far as I know, the AMC will continue to regulate binational transportation. The ministry’s circular is for transportation that would leave the department of Norte de Santander to go to other cities in Colombia. But in our case not, because we are cross-border,” he continued.
Venezuelan companies, with a binational seal, hope that the scenario is completely clarified to really take into account which entity will govern them this year, as they feel that, since the reactivation of the service, there have been several inconveniences for travel, such as the case of the routes that do not give them the option of reaching the center of Cúcuta.
