Members of the Costa Rica Chapter of the Antifascist International expressed, through a statement, their total repudiation of the visit of Edmundo González Urrutia to Costa Rica.
They maintain that this character has a criminal record that dates back to the 80s and links him to the worst atrocities committed by the Salvadoran repressive forces of that time.
The text criticizes that “Edmundo González Urrutia, who has an arrest warrant in his country, and María Corina Machado have asked again and again for sanctions and invasions against their own people. These economic attacks have fallen on the shoulders of the vast majority, hitting thousands of innocent people.”
