The measure was announced by the Ministry of Health of Cordovaan agency that pointed out that the decision is implemented due to the reduction in cases of Covid-19 throughout the provinceespecially, during the last five weeks.
According to the decision, from now on, each resident of Cordova You can choose whether or not to use the chinstrap in closed spacesa protection element that began to be implemented from the beginning of the pandemic.
However, the health authorities recommend that people with risk factors make use of the protection element, especially in places with poor ventilation or where there are conglomerations.
They also suggest that, in the case of presenting symptoms such as fever, sore throat or cough, do not go to workplaces, meetings or educational settings, in order to avoid a new peak of infections.
The measure of the provincial government is also taken based on the high vaccination coverage, for which they invite all citizens to start and complete schemes, and receive vaccine boosters, as appropriate.
In this sense, Laura López, head of the Epidemiology Area, explained that “in addition to having high coverage, the effectiveness of vaccines has been demonstrated, mainly in vulnerable populations, to prevent serious illness and mortality from Covid-19.”
Where will the use of the chinstrap be optional?
In the province for several weeks the use of the chinstrap began to be optional outdoors; now with the new decision of the Government, it will also be in closed spaces or with little ventilation.
