In community marriage, 64 couples say yes

The initiative has the objective of spiritually strengthening families, as the fundamental basis of society. In this sense, the couples have gone through the Ikatu project of the Santa Librada Foundation, which carries out this type of community wedding with its beneficiaries on an ongoing basis.

Since November 2017, 359 couples have had the opportunity to sacrament their family life.

The couple first went through a healing stage that consisted of talks about the value of the family, responsibility, work and family finances.

For these families it was difficult to unite their lives with this type of event due to lack of financial resources; but thanks to the help of the Santa Librada Foundation, they received free dresses, suits, the production of the brides at the Joseph Institute and all the necessary transfers.

There are many stories that deserve a section among the 64 couples. Most of them, for example, with many years of living together, have only recently been able to receive the sacrament of marriage, thanks to the preparation they received at the foundation.

The Ikatu Program is one of the most important pillars of assistance to the beneficiaries of the Santa Librada Foundation. It consists of contributing to the reduction of extreme poverty in vulnerable areas of the country, and focuses mainly on the spiritual and professional formation of people.
