This Friday, the people of Cojede took to Bolívar Avenue in San Carlos to march and participate in the swearing-in of the 784 Comprehensive Bolivarian Communities Commands (CCBI) in the state. This new base structure seeks to strengthen the political and community organization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in the nine municipalities of the entity.
During the activity, the people with banners and slogans expressed their unrestricted support for the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, while sending a message to the United States government to end the blockade, sanctions and siege against Venezuela, “which is a free, democratic and sovereign country, we are here in defense of peace, we do not want war,” said Maribel Pérez, a resident of San Carlos.
The event was headed by the national secretary of the PSUV, Eduardo Piñate, and the national liaison of this political group in Cojedes, John Moreno, who highlighted the importance of this new base structure whose one of the objectives is to strengthen and improve the organizational levels of Popular Power.
Piñate highlighted that with this swearing-in of the community commands they already close the process of reorganization of the base structure of the PSUV that was decided in the last two extraordinary plenary sessions of the fifth congress of the party. “This is the product of internal democracy and it must be said that the United Socialist Party of Venezuela is the most democratic… we are building a system of popular government that has as its core the commune in the base territory, here in the party there is democracy of the bases as well, deciding and debating,” he highlighted.
He indicated that the Comprehensive Bolivarian Community Commands and the Bolivarian Committees of Comprehensive Bases serve as a network to facilitate care for the people, solve the problems of the communities and “serve for the political and ideological work that the party has to do, in addition, they serve for armed defense… It is a virtuous structure that complements each other,” Piñate said.
For his part, John Moreno described as extraordinary the march that dyed Bolívar Avenue in the capital municipality of Cojedes red, “we are closing 2025 with a flourish and this opens the year 2026 to strengthen the policies that the president has promoted, the communal councils, the communes, the popular consultations, the entire strengthening of popular power and above all, also a key issue for us such as the comprehensive defense of our homeland,” he emphasized.
