In Cochabamba, transporters continue protests and passive service soldiers join

In Cochabamba, protests organized by the Chamber of Heavy Transportation continue and block the route to the west of the country to demand the repeal of Law 1386 on the National Strategy to Fight the Legitimization of Illicit Profits.

The demonstrations were joined by the passive service military, who marched through the center of Cercado, also against the norms observed by the population, reported Los Tiempos.

A contingent of Police protects the area from the transport blockade, which closed both roads with the use of tires, stones and debris.

Earlier, the passive service military marched through El Prado, together with the Cochabamba Civic Committee and the National Committee for the Defense of Democracy (Conade), which called for the release of political prisoners and the restitution of two-thirds in the Legislative Assembly Plurinational.

The afternoon of this Friday the union sector will go to a national extension to define its position before the call for dialogue by the Government for this Saturday.
