The Gaming Authority (AJ) intervened this Saturday in an illegal poker tournament that was taking place in a pool hall in the city of Cochabamba, due to the development of unauthorized games. The officials arrived at the scene after the complaint of the neighbors.
“In response to the complaints registered on the page www.aj.gob.bo, the Gaming Control Authority (AJ) intervened in a poker tournament that was taking place in a billiard room located on Heroínas Avenue, between Oquendo and Calle Pasteur, from the city of Cochabamba”, indicates a press release from the inspector.
In the place were at least 12 people between 20 and 30 years old who played behind closed doors.

The public servants of the AJ managed to identify the administrator of the billiards who, within the framework of Law 060 of Lottery and Chance Games, will initiate corresponding processes for the development of illegal gambling.
The AJ points out that so far this month, it is the second intervention carried out in the city of Cochabamba.
Administrators must report these activities, in order to protect the rights of citizens to play in a fair, legal and transparent manner, emphasizes the public entity.
