In the Antímano parish, in Caracas, Popular Power leaders debated and presented proposals for the reform of the Social Comptrollership Law.
This was reported this Saturday by the president of the Permanent Commission of People’s Power and Communication of the National Assembly (AN), Juan Carlos Germanin the middle of a street parliamentary activity, in which he stressed that the aforementioned Law constitutes a fundamental axis for the control system in the country.
Regarding the reform of the law, the parliamentarian pointed out that “we are submitting it for the consideration of the men and women who have traditionally done important work in community organization.”
He added that with these debates the tools for the exercise of social control are being given “in order to avoid or minimize the scourges of any State institution when a work is carried out without even consulting popular power,” he said.
He also stressed in this regard that all institutions must understand that they are subordinate to the people.
Similarly, Alemán highlighted the deployment of street parliamentarianism in the 22 parishes of Caracas to disseminate the rights of people with disabilities in the workplace, through Law of Workers and Workers with disabilities.
