With Expedition BIO, the museum proposes a different vacation, where biodiversity becomes the main protagonist.
The closing and beginning of the year holidays become an experience of learning and wonder in Maloka. Until the January 31, 2026this space invites families, children and young people to enjoy BIO Expeditiona program that proposes discovering Colombian biodiversity through science, creativity and play.
The agenda is developed between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm The proposal seeks to connect visitors with the country’s ecosystems and promote a relationship with the natural environment.

Biodiversity in the center
“We want families to tour our rooms, strengthen scientific skills in the laboratories and enjoy unique audiovisual experiences in the Dome Cinema and the Digital Room”, he noted.
One of the central axes of Expedition BIO is the exhibition “Heartbeats of Colombia, interwoven with nature”a sensory tour through eight ecosystems in the country that includes sound landscapes and an approach to the world of birds. This experience has support from mediators throughout the day, in half-hour slots.
Vacation scheduling
The program also includes practical workshops such as “Seed bombs: sowing to mitigate”where participants learn planting techniques and take seeds to grow at home, as well as activities designed for the little ones, including the interactive talk aimed at boys and girls under eight years old.
Nature at the center
Art and science intersect in spaces like “Imprints that speak: high Andean fauna and flora”a linocut workshop inspired by nature, and “Beings that glow in the dark”which reveals the secrets of bioluminescent organisms.
