A work team from the Ministry of Education (Meduca), headed by the Academic Deputy Minister, Ariel Rodríguez Gil, traveled to the province of Bocas del Toro to hold a meeting with the Federation of Parents of that region, in which They addressed infrastructure issues, installation of a work table on the execution of the Fund for Equity and Quality of Education (FECE), appointment of administrative personnel, election of the selection board, assignment of liaison, among other topics.
Regarding infrastructure issues, topics such as the status of projects in execution, construction of new works and their progress were discussed, while, on the subject of FECE, the increase in extraordinary items was explained.
Approximately 20 educational centers in the province of Bocas del Toro followed up on the progress agreed upon at the last meeting, as part of the teaching-learning process that benefits the entire student population.
Schools such as El Empalme, Punta Peña, Finca 4, Barranco Adentro, Finca 66, Finca 61 request the appointment of more officials. Meanwhile, Quebrada Pastor, 4 de Abril, Bajo Cedro, Cañazas, Nuevo Paraíso, IPT Bocas del Toro, among others, continue to make progress in infrastructure.
