For at least 17 hours, several communities in the district of Arraiján will be without water supply this Wednesday, September 14, due to the interconnection works to a 16” line that will be carried out as part of the construction project of Line 3 of the Metro de Panama.

In accordance with the National Aqueduct and Sewer Institute (IDAAN), these tasks, which will be supervised by technicians from the entity’s Special Projects, will be carried out on the Pan-American highway near Super Carnes from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. 00 p.m.

The communities that will be affected by the lack of drinking water supply are Loma Bonita, Residencial Mayín, Vista Alegre, Casco Viejo, Río Indio, residential Villa Alegre, residential Santander 2 and surrounding areas.

IDAAN pointed out that once the works are completed, the drinking water service will not be restored immediately but progressively, for which it recommended that all clients take the necessary supply measures so that daily activities are not interrupted.
