The head of the government’s citizen security cabinet, Commissioner Power Cano Nieto, reported that the arrest took place on the afternoon of this Saturday, December 21, when officials from the Anzoátegui state Police were carrying out preventive citizen security tours on Miranda Street. crossing with Caroní.
He said the woman was identified as Deycyree Chauran Liconte, 34, with no police records.
Cano Nieto specified that Chauran Liconte had at the time of his arrest 2 sets of Anlily dolls, a Girl Sweet doll, 3 Auto brand remote control cars and an Anlily doll with a car, all with free distribution IDs from the national government.
A purple Techno Pop brand cell phone with a black lining was also seized, and the amount of two thousand (2000) bolivars in 20 bills, which is presumed to be the product of the sale of the products.
Regarding the origin of the toys, Cano Nieto indicated that they are investigating to determine how the woman had those products, and assured that they are keeping track of other people who market the toys for free distribution through social networks.
This arrest occurs just two days after the distribution of gifts began in the communities of Anzoátegui.
The regional police director also said that the woman was taken to the Police Coordination Center accused of “taking advantage of things coming from crime.”
Likewise, he specified that the case was brought to the attention of the Fourth Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
