The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, assured that the figures for Covid-19 have decreased considerably, during epidemiological week number 4, from January 22 to 28, 640 cases and 2 deaths were registered.
Sucre explained that the latest epidemiological report has revealed that the figures are below 3%, in terms of positivity.
Minister Sucre invited citizens to get the bivalent dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while stressing that the figures have improved a lot, that in this sense the population has learned about biosecurity measures and to take care of themselves.
«The figures are positive and the Health system reassures you about the Carnival celebrations; however, coverage of the bivalent vaccine is important to strengthen the immune system of those who are going to be enjoying the festivities so as not to fall or return to the previous figures and to care for the elderly who stay at home, since the More young people celebrate these festivities, which is why they are invited to get vaccinated and thus protect themselves and their loved ones,” he said.
He added that at this time all the Health facilities have their doses to proceed with the vaccination; Phase three of this process will begin shortly, when it is completed with health personnel, the elderly and people with chronic diseases, and disabled children.
