In 77 raids they seized more than 2,300 drug packages

During the last 24 hours, the Security Establishments apprehended 231 people through 77 raids and seized 2,362 drug packages throughout the country.

This occurred through “Operation Isthmus 2022” where of those apprehended, 140 were for Trades, 40 for Administrative Fouls, 30 for Flagrancia, 14 for microtrafficking and 7 for drug trafficking.

During the operations, 12 firearms, 88 ammunition B/.245.00 in cash, five cars and two boats were seized, as well as a vehicle reported stolen.

Meanwhile, 12 foreigners were detected with expired stays, evasion of immigration controls, and alert impediments, among others.

The National Directorate of Traffic Operations placed 1,671 violations of the Traffic Regulations, of these 476 were for speeding, 30 for proven drunkenness, 7 for alcoholic breath and 95 for talking on a cell phone.

With “Operation Isthmus 2022”, security strategies are strengthened for the benefit of all those who are in the national territory.
