According to the Annual Operational Plan (POA), by 2025 the National Institute of Professional Technical Training (INFOTEP) has proposed to train 821, 202 participants nationwide, through 45, 024 training actions or courses.
This figure represents 11% more than the year that ends, when 737,551 participants were attended and 40,626 courses were offered.
In this POA, INFOTEP will focus its services on expanding coverage to meet the demand of the productive sectors and will continue with the increase in programs linked to the 4.0 offer, the acquisition of digital skills and the promotion of innovation.
Likewise, it is planned to follow up on the expansion of the virtual training service and with the program to expand and modernize the physical and technological infrastructure for technical-professional training.
By meeting these goals, the institution seeks to contribute to the development of human talent, the competitiveness of productive sectors and the improvement of employment.
For the Operational Plan, INFOTEP has an income budget for 2025 amounting to RD$7 thousand 221 million 271 thousand 422.00.
Operating expenses for 2025 are projected at RD$ six thousand 821 million 271 thousand 422, which represents an increase of 6.1% compared to 2024.
The investment plan for the year 2025 amounts to RD$400 million. It contemplates RD$270 million for administrative investments: office furniture and equipment, transportation equipment and computer equipment, RD$80 million for the technological updating of machines and equipment and RD$50 million for infrastructure works and retrofitting.
The actions proposed in the 2025 Annual Operational Plan are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, the National Development Strategy, the National Multi-Annual Plan for the Public Sector and the main policies of the Dominican Government.
The POA is analyzed and approved by the Board of Directors, a tripartite institutional governance body, which guides and directs the work of INFOTEP.
The institution has been directed by Rafael Santos since August 2020.
