In 2024, Banco Agrario disbursed loans for $11.2 billion

The Agrarian Bank of Colombia announced a positive management balance during 2024, a period during which it disbursed loans for a total of $11.2 billion, with which the amount accumulated during the current Government – that is, since August 2022 – approached $27 billion irrigated among rural producers, entrepreneurs of the popular economy and other production sectors.

When disaggregating the figure, it is observed that, among peasants and small producers in the agricultural sector, including young people and rural women, the Bank allocated $3.7 billion throughout the previous year, of which, $1, 3 billion.

Likewise, the Agrarian Bank’s contribution to the popular economy translated into loans for $633,000 million distributed among 146,864 clients from all popular and community economic sectors, while, only with regard to CREO lines, $18,408 million have been allocated so far among 8,048 beneficiaries.

In that sense, he noted that throughout the year $14,334 million were allocated among 31 associations from different sectors. “If we take stock of the disbursements during the current administration, we see that the figure is close to $33.5 billion among 57 associative schemes that impact more than 1,700 associates,” he explained.

Regarding other figures at the end of the year, it is highlighted that the portfolio stood at $22.5 billion, while the entity registered 1,875,299 commercially manageable active clients, of which 1,114,733 are clients with a current portfolio; During the year, the Bank attracted 430,000 new clients, including those who have activated the BICO digital wallet.

Finally, Chica Zuccardi emphasized the compensated rate agreements that the Banco Agrario has been signing with different territorial entities such as mayors and governorates.the same as with other organizations, in order to generate better conditions of rates and terms in credits, especially for small producers.

This is how in 2024, 52 agreements were signed with a total of contributions of $32,369 million and with a potential amount to be mobilized of $273,055 million, while another 37 agreements are in process with an approximate total of contributions of $3,578 million that will be aspires to be put into effect during the current period.
