The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) reported the creation of 172,492 jobs in September. The figure is the second highest for the same month since records are kept. The affiliates are already 21 million 409 thousand 358. Of these, 86.6 percent have a permanent position.
The monthly report on the behavior of formal employment in the country indicated that 814,439 jobs have been opened so far this year. Similarly, the figure is the third highest for the same period of previous years.
The economic sectors with the highest annual growth are transportation and communications, with 7.5 percent; construction, with 5, and services for companies, with 4.8.
The entities with the most jobs created are Tabasco (13.5 percent), Baja California Sur (12.3 percent) and Quintana Roo (11.9 percent).
Meanwhile, according to the Social Security report, the lowest increase in labor supply was recorded in Sinaloa (0.2 percent), Michoacán and Zacatecas (both with one percent), San Luis Potosí (1.3), and Morelos (1.5 ).
As for the contribution base salary, the agency mentioned that last month it stood at 480.70 pesos on average, equivalent to a nominal annual increase of 11.3 percent, and is the highest in September in the past 20 years.
It also reported that last month there were 866 fewer registered patterns, bringing the total figure to one million 66 thousand 620. In the annual measurement, the number represents an increase of 1.9 percent.
