Imputation of charge and provisional arrest for businessman Crystian Palma for aggravated manslaughter

The Specialized Section for Homicide and Femicide of the metropolitan area, represented by the prosecutor Milagros Arosemena Leiva, managed to get the Court of Guarantees to legalize the arrest, formulate charges and the precautionary measure of provisional detention for the manager, promoter of artists and businessman Cristyan Palma, for the crime against life and personal integrity in the form of aggravated manslaughter.

The foregoing was due to a traffic event that occurred on January 27, 2022 in San Fernando, José Agustín Arango avenue, Juan Díaz district, where Percy Gutiérrez, a Peruvian national, died.

Gutiérrez was a seller of chicha and empanadas. He was run over by Palma, who, according to reports, was driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages and dragged the victim’s body 500 meters through the San Pedro neighborhood.

According to Palma’s allegation, he was not driving the truck, but he does not know who was. This has generated a wave of criticism on social networks.

The Judge considered that there was a risk of disregarding the process and danger to the community.
