Improvements are advancing in several schools in the province of Veraguas

The Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, met this Monday in Veraguas with the educational communities of the La Primavera school, IPT Pablo Pinzón, from Ponuga; IPT of Las Palmas and the Urracá Institute.

In these schools, classroom construction and rehabilitation projects are being carried out, such as the La Primavera School, located in the Santiago district, at a cost of 7 million balboas.

The work represents a significant advance of 65% and it is expected that, by the end of the year, it will be completed and these facilities can be used at the beginning of the next school year 2024.

More than 1,796 students will benefit when the remodeling, improvement and new structures of the La Primavera Bilingual Educational Center, located in the province of Veraguas, are completed. The preschool facilities were completed and will be delivered after receiving the occupancy certification.

The works at this school in the Santiago district include the construction of two floors, a three-story building, relocation of the synthetic field and construction of a synthetic field, parking lots, a playground, and improvements to the existing infrastructure. In addition, the construction of a gym, classrooms for premedia and administrative spaces.

The school, which serves preschool, elementary and high school students, with the adjustments will have a new school cafeteria, kitchen, chemistry and biology laboratory, music room, three new preschool classrooms with their respective bathrooms.

Currently, Meduca develops 21 projects in the educational region of Veraguas, included in 118 works that are underway throughout the country, with an investment of 515.3 million balboas.
