SANTIAGO.-The authorities of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) stationed in the Dajabón province, reported this morning that in the last four days they have deported to the neighboring nation of Haiti, a total of 1,612 Haitian citizens detained in Dominican territory without the corresponding legal documentation.
Of the total number of repatriates, 920 were male, while 438 were female and 354 were children of both sexes, who were deported along with their parents.

In addition to brigades of the General Directorate of Migrationpatrols from the National Army of the Dominican Republic (ENDR), immigration officers and police agents participate in interdiction efforts.
The arrests of Haitian citizens occurred in different communities in the provinces of the Northwest Line, that is, Montecristi, Santiago Rodríguez, Mao Valverde and this town.
