A few days ago a video was viral in which two armed men were seen on the Huancayo – Huancavelica road, according to the complaint on social networks, they were road assailants and the victims managed to record the video while they were assaulted in the middle of shots.
The regional chief of Enaco, Javier Pinto Almanza, denied that version and explained that the police who were syndicated as assailants, were part of an operation against illegal coca leaf marketers. He explained that the intervention was made at the request of Enaco.
“I was there in Churcampa, it is not true that there was assault. We have asked that the Chilca police accompany us. The coca -loaded truck escaped, so the police intervene accordingly (shooting in the air),” said Pinto Almanza.
Likewise, the official explained that there was certainty that there were about 900 kilos of coca that was going to be seized. But it was not possible. Previously with the same troops, on February 22 627 kilos of coca in Sapallanga was confiscated; On February 26, 111 kilos in Auray and on July 25 896 kilos in Ulambo -huancavelica.
Meanwhile, police noncommissioned officers Michael Quispe and Jharol of the Valley of the Chilca police station in Huancayo, as well as the agents who participated in the operation must declare and give details about the failed intervention.
The investigation that the Prosecutor’s Office of Churcampa will carry out is for the proper video on social networks where police are seen shooting in the Villa Esmeralda sector, Locroja district, Churcampa province – Huancavelica. It is known that Inspectoría also investigates the case and those involved say that if there was authorization for the operation.
