The Second National Popular Consultation closed this Sunday with total success, a total of 4,505 communal circuits chose the priority projects of their communities, to which starting on Tuesday the resources will begin to be transferred to begin their execution.
The polling stations have already closed for the day and started counting votes to then announce the winning projects, the National Electoral Commission, headed by Carolina Arellano, reported at the close of the day.
Among the projects being voted on were the drinking water system, roads, housing, electricity, health, education, wastewater, production units, environment, public transport, sports facilities and gas.
The National Electoral Commission, headed by Carolina Arellano, offered a positive assessment at the end of the day: “This day has been a resounding success thanks to the conscious people. This process was from 6:00 in the morning until approximately 8:00 at night, the closing of the tables was a simple process, we are waiting for the transmission of the data, to then give the final results of this very gratifying process.”
He also stressed that 100% of the roundtables in the national territory were activated, and that international monitoring was carried out successfully, “many had expectations regarding the projects.”
Arellano emphasized that they have a web application where the results are transmitted to them and that they are waiting for the complete total to be able to issue them.
He also thanked the work of all the communal, municipal and regional promotional teams, as well as the press and media deployed throughout the country.
He also thanked the National Electoral Council (CNE), the Plan República and the more than 100 international observers who accompanied this national election for their support.
