The General Price Index – Market (IGP-M) registered deflation (price fall) of 0.97% in October this year. In the previous month, there was also a drop of 0.95%.
According to Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), with the result, the IGP-M accumulates inflation rates of 5.58% in the year and 6.52% in 12 months.
The Broad Producer Price Index (IPA), which evaluates the wholesale, had deflation of 1.44% in October, compared to a price drop of 1.27% in September.
The National Construction Cost Index (INCC) was another sub-index that presented a drop in the rate from September to October. Despite this, it continued to register inflation. The rate changed from 0.10% in September to 0.04% in October.
On the other hand, the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures retail, had inflation of 0.5% in October, after registering deflation of 0.08% in the previous month.
