IFC invests 75 million pages in CFE Fiber E bonus

The International Financial Corporation (IFC)member of the World Bank Group, announced an investment of 75 million dollars in the opening bonus of Fiber ea financial trust supported by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

The operation seeks to mobilize private capital to strengthen and expand the electric transmission infrastructure in Mexico.

IFC investment aims to improve the quality of electricity supply in strategic regions, reduce technical losses in the network, facilitate the integration of renewable energy and increase system resilience to extreme climatic events.

“The participation of IFC was key to the success of the operation, and its investment will contribute to achieve the energy and security objectives of the CFE raised for the Administration,” said Cajeme Villarreal, general director of CFE Capital.

This is the first IFC project with the Federal Electricity Commission, and marks the beginning of a long -term strategic collaboration to promote the sustainable development of the energy sector.

The issuance of 725 million dollars attracted a participation of more than 6,000 million dollars reflecting the market confidence in the Investment Plan of the Federal Electricity Commission at 2030 in Transmission.
