The problem that they are going to find is going to be gigantic, they will never be able to be someone else in their life, ”he told Telemundo 51 Laura Hernández Chirino, sister of Ismael Hernández Chirino, one of the migrants.
The woman also explained that “they made commercial flights for tourism and with some Cubans who could afford it.” Just as she assured that the family was unaware of her plans.
Regarding the danger of being returned to Cuba, the relatives recalled that the Cuban Aviation Club (CAC) described the fact as a “violation of airspace” and referred to the theft of the equipment (state property), with registration CU- u 1619.
“The Cuban Aviation Club denounces this fact and transmits to the corresponding international authorities its disagreement with facts like these and requests that these individuals be applied the sanctions corresponding to the seriousness of the case and the return of the stolen equipment,” the entity indicated in a official note.
The other pilot was identified as David López Alfonso. Upon arrival in the United States on the hang glider, both were detained and made available to the authorities.
