IEPS quotas for gasoline and diesel rise 7.9% due to inflation by 2023

Adjustments to IEPS quotas for gasoline have been made since 2016, in accordance with inflation, while VAT remains at 16% on the price of the product, before taxes.

For Premium gasoline, the federal IEPS went from 4.63 pesos per liter to 4.99 for the following year; for diesel the fee went from 6.03 pesos to 6.50 pesos per liter.

The state IEPS and CO2 emission fees are also adjusted for inflation. For 2022 the state quota, whose resources go to the federal entities, remained at 52.24 cents per liter for green gasoline; for red at 63.75 cents per liter, and for diesel it was 43.36 cents per liter.

Meanwhile, the fees for CO2 emissions from fossil fuels remained at 15.69 cents per liter of gasoline and gas plane; for diesel it was 19.04 cents per liter.
