The Institute for Cooperative Development and Credit (IDECOOP) urgently summoned the Cooperative Government created on March 22 of this year with the purpose of managing the administration of the Herrera Savings and Credit Cooperative, Inc. (COOPHERRERA) to explain why it has not responded.
In a statement, the entity reported that the aforementioned Cooperative Government had within its mission to present a report at the end of June along with a recovery plan, but so far it has not been presented.
“Our President and Administrator, Maritza López de Ortiz, has urgently summoned the Cooperative Government to present the current status and the reasons that have prevented it from responding to the members and clients of CoopHerrera,” the document states.
They also indicated that from the current administration of IDECOOP, it has a firm commitment to all those Dominicans who have trusted in the cooperative sector, “to whom we must give a timely, precise and transparent response under any circumstance.”
