The Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) forecast intensity in this rainy season in Colombia.
According to Ideam, in Colombia “we are receiving the first season of heavy rains and with it electrical activity, in the next few hours varied climatic activity is estimated”, areas such as Valle del Cauca and Nariño have felt the weight of the winter wave these last hours.
One of the areas most affected by these rains will be the Pacific Region more or less at the end of the afternoon, this Tuesday.
Cauca, Nariño, Chocó and Valle del Cauca will be affected by this winter season, and an orange alert was issued over the Pacific.
There will be a high risk of electric shocks accompanied by heavy rain in the aforementioned areas.
This climatic season will go until the end of May.
The rains will intensify, and according to the forecast, they would be accompanied by hailstorms, gales and heavy downpours.
The Caribbean Region
On the other hand, according to the report, in the Caribbean Region there will be heavy to moderate rainy season more or less in the south of Bolívar, Cesar and the south of Magdalena.

Likewise, the director of Ideam, Yolanda González, expressed measures according to what is coming in the coming days.
“Ideam recommends redoubling preventive measures in the face of the possibility of sudden floods, landslides, torrential floods, strong winds, hailstorms and electrical storms,” he said.
Therefore, citizens are asked to keep themselves equipped with umbrellas, coats and others, “to avoid colds”, in addition, not to throw garbage in the streets that could put the aqueduct and sewage networks at risk.
In Catambuco, Pasto, for example, the flooding on Monday could have been due to the collapse of the sewage system.
So far in the country there are at least 600,000 victims; who have lost their houses and even their hamlets due to floods or landslides of great magnitude.
