The Board of Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) made the decision to hold its annual meeting in virtual format, due to the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, that institution reported this Thursday.
Last October it was announced that this meeting would take place in Punta del Este with a hybrid format (between virtual and face-to-face and with a limited number of face-to-face participants).
The annual meeting of governors of the IDB and IDB Invest will be held on the dates between March 28 and April 1, 2022.
Economic and financial leaders from the 48 IDB member countries are scheduled to discuss economic recovery and investment opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, Azucena Arbeleche, is the Uruguayan representative and will assume the presidency of the governors’ assembly until March 2023, as previously reported.
