IDAAN pumping stations in North Panama are not working due to lack of electricity


According to IDAAN, ENSA personnel are carrying out the necessary work to restore the electrical service. Once the electricity returns, the pumping stations will resume their work and the drinking water service will gradually return.

Three pumping stations in Panama North are currently being affected by a lack of electricity, reported the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN).

The authorities reported that, in Gonzalillo, the pumping station is out of operation, which affects the supply from sector 1 to sector 10.

While in Ciudad del Lago there is also no power supply, leaving the users of Quintas del Lago, Colinas del Lago, Vista del Lago and Mirador del Lago without water.

Similarly, in Las Cumbres, the pumping remains affected, so the sectors of: San Andrés, Las Glorietas, Las Lajas, via El Cóndor, entrance of Gonzalillo and Princesa de Gales do not receive the service.

According to IDAAN, ENSA personnel are carrying out the necessary work to restore the electrical service. Once the electricity returns, the pumping stations will resume their work and the drinking water service will gradually return.
